Speak English with confidence

Are you hesitant to use certain words in English due to fear of mispronunciation? This can take up valuable time and hinder your confidence in communication. At PronounceMe, we understand the challenges of learning English as a second language and the impact it can have on one's professional life.

Knowing that what you say will be understood first time leads to deeper self-confidence. A team whose members are confident in their communication skills has higher morale and makes a greater impact. It’s a win-win.

Our training takes into account research from the University of Kansas, which shows that our sense of rhythm in our mother tongue is formed in the womb. More traditional English pronunciation training methods do not take into account how strongly the learner's native language habits are ingrained in their speech.

PronounceMe™ is based on methodical research into those habits. All the exercises are designed to imprint an understanding of the difference between non-native-speaker English and native-speaker English in the learner's mind, to improve mouth position habits and thus to speed up the learning process. PronounceMe's approach to English training can take you anywhere.

Our approach to language training prioritises the mastery of technical terms in your field of work, helping you to deliver presentations with precision and impact. We cater to learners with CEFR B2-C1 proficiency, but can customise our programme to fit your individual needs.

Our classes integrate techniques from theatre, speech, and phonetics research to make learning English both entertaining and effective. We believe in the power of humour as a teaching tool and use visual aids to reinforce what's been learned, reducing the chances of repeating mistakes. By creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment, we enable deeper learning and improved communication outcomes.

Make learning effortless and enjoyable.

Support with diversity in language learning

Our efforts to improve our understanding of pronunciation habits are never-ending as we strive to serve individuals from various countries. Our approach to teaching English is to respect and take into account our students' native languages, linking their language sounds to those in English.

Our methodology works best with participants who share a common national background, leading to quicker results. However, we are adaptable. If you have specific needs, reach out to us and we'll tailor a workshop to fit those needs.

PronounceMe - an innovation from Oxford University

What started as a quick idea jotted down during a teaching session in Italy has evolved into a thriving startup at Oxford University Innovation, serving clients from various industries and working with students from 11 different language backgrounds.

Language is a reflection of one's culture, and learning a new language involves a cultural exchange. While teaching in Italy, I noticed that my students were limited by the seven vowel sounds of Italian and unable to grasp the 20 vowel sounds (including eight diphthongs) in English. I devised a series of exercises, incorporating elements from my theatre and music background, to help them overcome this challenge. These lessons laid the foundation for PronounceMe, now an award-winning service that provides highly customised pronunciation training, focusing on this crucial but often neglected aspect of language learning.

With our tailored language training and special rhythm exercises, you'll be amazed at the significant improvement in your pronunciation.
